Job Description

-The Resident Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, organizing and coordinating of the Rooms Division consisting of Front Office, Concierge, Guest Recognition, PBX, Housekeeping, Valet laundry, Valet parking, as well as IT, Engineering, Food & Beverage, consisting of Restaurant,as well as Residences, and to provide leadership and direction while maximising revenue opportunities and maintaining guest satisfaction levels to the standard of the hotel and of the company at all times.

* Will execute all operational and strategic initiatives that have been discussed, providing feedback and alternatives.
* Preparation of strategic business plans for the hotel specifically pertaining to Operations.
* Formulation and implementation of the hotels involvement in the local community.
* Development of middle management executives through coaching, mentoring and general communicaitons.
* The hotel's overall financial performance needs to be driven by the rationalization of both the fixed and variable operational expenses. To ensure alignment with the financial objectives and forecasts.
* The annual hotel budget process needs to be clear so that growth, expense rationalization and profit protection as stipulated in the MOHG guidelines.
* Candidate will be actively involved in the selection of candidates and will adhere to the MOHG guidelines.
* Career development programs for colleagues. The Candidate will be the mentor and coach for the new and mid level Managers actively engaging them in projects and learning initiatives. Candidate will ensure that appraisals and feedback sessions are regularly done in conjunction with corporate policy.
* Labor cost management is essential both in terms of quality of people and payroll costs. Significant controls and ideas will need to be generated to look at casual and permanent colleagues in operational areas.
* Will be involved in ensuring training and optimum usage of technologies amongst the team.

Jobs Requirement

Four year degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent
* Six years in an executive level position in a luxury hotel with experience in Rooms and Food and Beverage Division operations.
* Prioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines
* Effective management, leadership, organizational and communications skills
* Prior experience in a hotel industry or hospitality facility is very desirable.
