Vacancy Type:Work Experience:3Age: International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper in Siem Reap. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for maintaining office organization systems, managing office supplies, handling bookkeeping functions and supporting other staff as needed. Qualified candidates will have experience in related fields. - Organize all general office operations and procedures - Provide administrative services for the IJM Cambodian office including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, taking messages, responding to callers’ needs, scheduling appointments, sending and receiving faxes and all paper correspondence, monitoring and recording long distance phone calls, and more - Maintain office filing systems, personnel records, monthly time sheets, and leave requests forms. Ensure that all files and records are protected and secure - Manage all office supply activity including anticipating office supply needs, checking stock to determine inventory levels, ensuring the office is adequately equipped, reviewing and approving all supply acquisitions, responding to special supply requests from staff, monitoring the use of supplies and equipment, and coordinating the repair and maintenance of office equipment - Scheduling, preparing,and monitoring meetings, conferences, conference calls, and office retreats - Liaise with and provide reports to Phnom Penh Office as required by supervisor - Handle all bookkeeping functions including payroll processing and invoicing - Record petty cash custodian and cash in/cash out in petty cash ledger - Process expense accounts and generate reimbursement - Determining the nature of the expense and review its classification - Transit bookkeeping and payroll processes to QuickBooks Pro respectively in response to increasing work volume - Provide monthly and annual financial reports to Phnom Penh Office - Maintain financial reports - Prepare monthly tax returns payment - Communicate with Phnom Penh finance department - Provide staff training and guidance about financial procedure if necessary - Assist the Director of Investigations and/or supervisor and other staff as needed - Other related duties as assigned by supervisor |
- Graduate in business administration, management and/or equivalent education – preferred, but not required - At least 3 years experience in related field applied position - Proficient in written and spoken English - Ability to translate professional conversations and documents in English/Khmer - Proficient computer skills (especially Microsoft Office) - Finance training or experience with other NGOs a plus - Ability to work independently, to organize and coordinate with demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely in working languages - Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed - Meticulous attention to detail; disciplined with priorities - Personable; sustained positive attitude - Patient; works well under stress - Professionalism in demeanor - Ability to achieve goals in a cross-cultural setting - Disciplined to work from the organization’s strategic goals - Effective as a team player and leader - Evident passion to help people suffering injustice and oppression HOW TO APPLY: Interested candidates please submit applications no later than 5:00 P.M on December 04th, 2009 via email address below.
