Vacancy Type:Social WorkWork Experience:3Age: International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking three experienced Social Workers. One to serve in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and two to serve in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The Social Workers will assist in developing, coordinating, and implementing IJM’s aftercare strategy. The Social Workers will ensure that all individuals rescued from oppression can receive appropriate, sustainable, victim-specific, rehabilitation. - Work with Director of Aftercare to develop, coordinate and implement IJM’s aftercare strategy - Collaborate with IJM Cambodia’s Investigations and Legal Departments to provide victim care - Provide crisis care and administer needs assessments to victims of commercial sexual exploitation and facilitate referrals of victims to appropriate aftercare services - Advocate for victim needs in a multidisciplinary setting, including coordination with law enforcement and government social services - Attend court trials and prepare victims for testifying in court - Partner with aftercare agencies to ensure the high quality, professional care of clients through case coordination and information-sharing - Develop and maintain key partnerships and relationships with both governmental and non-governmental organizations and their staff - Act as a professional resource to IJM’s partners by providing special trainings, research, best practice models, and contacts - Maintain case records and develop organizational systems to document and track IJM casework - Be available for provincial travel for casework or trainings, typically on a monthly basis but occasionally more frequent - Translate written documents and occasional oral translation between English and Khmer |
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred - Minimum three years experience working in social services with previous work experience with sexual violence issues preferred - Graduate of Social Services of Cambodia (SSC) social work program (or comparable training program) preferred - Fluency in written and spoken Khmer and English; Vietnamese language skills an advantage - Ability to translate professional conversations and documents in English/Khmer - Proficient computer skills (especially Microsoft Office) - Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed - Passionate about IJM’s mission and serving survivors of commercial sexual exploitation - Ethical, hard-working, professional, self-motivated, and flexible - Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills - Strong communication and problem solving skills; able to work in a fast paced stressful environment - Team player - able and willing to work in multi-cultural interdisciplinary professional teams HOW TO APPLY: Interested candidates please submit applications no later than 5:00 P.M on December 04th, 2009 via email address below.
