Job Description

Location: For Urban Discovery Project (Based in Phnom Penh)
Salary: Minimum of $400 plus competitive benefits

I. PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The position is a support role that assists urban discovery project manager to ensure a good relationship with, and seek for support from related government institution and NGOs working in urban areas.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communication and networking
- Explore and build good network and coalition with NGOs working on the land issues and share learning and knowledge through meeting with UDP meetings and relevant urban networks
- Strengthen and maintain good communication and relation with existing partnering NGOs and relevant government institution.
- Closely work with the World Vision Australia UPI team and share learning and emerging patterns of urban programming.
- Research and Advocacy
- Keep monitoring/research on the issues and explore advocacy approaches to address them strategically by getting involvement from other related NGOs/network.
- Explore urban program and approaches developed by communities and other agencies and document these for consideration and learning for urban development.
- Organize advocacy campaign, and forum with getting involvement from partner NGOs and stakeholders to address the issues,
- Documentation
- Documenting best practices and innovation and ensure process documentation is in places as part of the learning experience.
- Capture integration processes of HEA, advocacy, development, and innovative approaches and file them appropriately for project reflection in its planning and implantation.
- Develop Urban DME Tool Kit-and engage its application based on lesson learnt, document and share learning.

Jobs Requirement

- Must understand and agree with WV’s vision, mission and core values.
- Graduation in fields of law and urban development (preferable)
- Ability in communicating, partnering and networking with government and NGOs
- An interest in humanitarian aid and passion for community development.
- Fluent in speaking and writing English is preferable.
- Ability and experiences in advocacy campaign.
- Willing to learn and participate.
- Cross cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to understand the dynamics and work effectively and independently.
