Job Description

  - Be responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the Department in line with Faculty and the Aii Language Center strategic plans and direction.
- Be an active member of the Faculty Executive Board and contribute to the overall leadership and management of the Faculty: it is expected that Thai/Korean Head Teacher will carry functional responsibility for specific agreed cross-cutting Faculty areas
- Develop and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultation, decision-making and communication with staff and students.
- Promote and represent the center both internally and externally

- Ensure that School HR policies and procedures are implemented.
- Ensure that staff performance is managed appropriately and in a way that is consistent with the expectations of the Management & the Senate, and that fair workload allocation processes are in place
- Ensure all staffs have access to the necessary support to enable them to contribute fully and develop their skills and experience.
- Engender a culture of excellence, co-operation and respect both within and beyond the department.
- Make effective use of all staffing resources and seek opportunities for collaboration and joint working with others beyond the department and beyond the Faculty.
- Ensure students are included as appropriate in the various decisions making within the department.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for both staff and students, and full compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Supervise & work collaboratively with the head teachers.

Job Requirements

  Daily Tasks:
- Familiarize Head teacher’s job description and supervise them.
- Familiarize Head teacher’s daily task and monitor them.
- Support, guide and help Head teachers’ assignments.
- Help solve unsolved cases from the Head teachers.
- Read and analyze the head teacher report (Thai/Korean Head must have a report from head teachers)
- Familiarize Head of Secretary job description and supervise them.
- Monthly timesheet, staff movement and change condition checking.
-Staff probation (meeting the staff)
- New student interview
-Conduct workshops and trainings to staff and students.
- Monitor and improve all of the school activities listed in the school calendar.
-Monitor Head teacher observation.
- Monitor Head teacher observation feedback.
- Mengly J. Quach Annual Excellence in Teaching Award
- Monitor head teacher absences and tardiness.
- Weekly Report to Senate Meeting
- Work Permit process with HR Department
-Applicants Exam Checking
-Interview applicants
- New staff salary offer and benefits. (finalized the offer before meeting the staff)
- New staff tax on salary
-New teacher induction
- Assign buddies to new staff
- Make sure new teachers are trained using the syllabus, Online CA, and Teacher Website.
- Explain the observation criteria, observe and give feedback to new teacher. Also explain the observation feedback. (week 2)
- Monitor Online Continuous Assessment.
- Monitor Sponsorship Program.
-Monitor the curriculum and make sure it is followed.
- Monitor and implement the school campaign like homework log, Thai/Korean speaking environment and reading campaign.
- Immediate acting campus director in case the current campus director in on leave.
- Familiarize the school policy and implement them
- Head teacher handbook update
-Teacher handbook update
-Finalize teachers request on week 6
- New term schedule
- Monitor CBC heads and their activities
- Counsel head teachers, teachers, students/parents and other staff
- Regular DO ROUNDS
