Job Description

  Administrative affairs & paper works in the Academic Department.
- Set up the teaching schedule
- Format Teacher Rules & Regulations
- Conduct the Meeting Agenda
- Prepare teaching materials
- Conduct student survey / school survey
- Peer Observation / Teacher Observation
- Teacher Recruitment / Interview
- Manage all academic affairs
- Prepare all Tests
- Post Memorandum
- Deal with Local & Foreign Teachers
- Prepare Terms and Conditions / Employment Agreement
- Prepare Weekly Checklist to implement all academic work every term
- Search new course book for updating or changing
- Set up the Teacher Induction Guide & Teachers’ Package.
• Coordinates academic matters related to other strategies in the curriculum:
- Teaching and learning strategies, processes and procedures
- Requirements of assigned programs and initiatives
- Formative assessments
- Professional development
- Reports for programs and initiatives
- Recommend and amendments to course study
- Identify current and potential academic needs or problem areas
- Design academic orientation and present information to new employees and academic partners

• Facilitates the progress, design and delivery of district wide academic matters, i.e.,
- Assesses the campuses' stage of academic development
- Promotes teacher growth by determining suitable developmental tasks
- Assists teachers in establishing realistic and attainable academic goals.
- Advises teachers and administrators on academic issues.
- Identifies options appropriate to address academic improvement with the analysis of each option, including possible outcomes and their implications.
- Recommends professional development for teachers and administrators.
- Recommends academic action plans for teachers, administrators, campuses.
- Identifies options for teachers to satisfy endorsement and certifications requirements.
- Recommendations and amendments to Course of Study.
- Analyzes progress reports from professional development implementation.
- Identifies current and potential academic needs or problem areas.
- Refers teachers and administrators to appropriate resources for assistance.
- Maintains appropriate files and records.
- Documents all pertinent academic information.
- Updates related to computerized information system.
- Articulates the Department of Curriculum and Instruction’s position on academic issues.
- Explains school policies and procedures as necessary.
- Designs academic orientations and presents information to new employees and academic partners.
- Assists in recruitment of potential academic and instructional related staff.
- Disseminates academic related information.
- Acquires and coordinates necessary information to prepare various reports as requested.
- Participates in department meetings, staff development, workshops, programs, and curriculum functions.
- Encourages and empowers teachers to make sound instructional decisions.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Works a flexible schedule
• Must be able to help adults respond to these major questions:
- What do students need to learn and do?
- How will we know they've learned it?
- What happens if students did not learn it?
- What happens if they already know it?

Job Requirements

  - Native Chinese or Non-Native
- At least Bachelor’s degree of Education or related fields
- At least 5 year of excellence experiences
- Good command of both spoken and written Chinese is a plus
- Knowledge of computer word, excel and power point
- Good communication skill, negotiation skill and problem solving
