Job Description

  Job Purpose/Summary

The Recruitment Specialist has overall responsibilities in working closely with hiring managers to deliver staffing needs, building talent pools and networks, preparing job effective ads, responding to hiring inquiries, implementing hiring processes, onboarding new hires and representing Maersk as an employer in the labor market. The incumbent is expected to perform the above responsibilities and achieve expected outcomes in accordance with the core values and winning behaviors espoused by Maersk.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with hiring managers to recruit quality candidates to meet the business staffing needs;
• Build networks of contact through partnering with universities, government agencies, and professional associations to increase the talent pool for Maersk;
• Prepare job advertisements, specifications, and job descriptions so that potential job applicants have the information they need to decide to apply for a vacant position;
• Respond to enquiries from candidates, hiring managers and line manager about Maersk’s recruitment activities and about the status of job vacancies so that interested parties are kept informed;
• Contact candidates, arrange interview times and develop appropriate interview questions in collaboration with the hiring manager so that interviews are conducted efficiently and equitably;
• Interview, test, rank, check references, select candidates and provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates based on the job's preestablished selection criteria and Maersk's recruitment policies;
• Prepare job offers in accordance with the agreed job specifications so that successful candidates have all the information they need to decide whether to accept the position;
• Represent Maersk at job fairs and other recruitment venues so that potential candidates have an opportunity to learn about Maersk and its recruitment activities;
• Conduct employee orientation/induction and introductory training so that new employees are quickly integrated into Maersk.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or any other related field;
• 2-3 years of experience in recruitment and/or HR experience;
• Experience working in logistics or supply chain management;
• Interviewing skills;
• Negotiation skills;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks;
• Working with people;
• Adhering to principles and values;
• Relating and networking;
• Persuading and influencing;
• Presenting and communicating information; and
• Analysing, writing, and reporting.
