Mekong-Quilts is a fair trade project which gives employment to poor women & supports community development. Our shops sell very beautiful quilts (hand made bed covers etc.), of top quality. All profits of the sales go to support scholarships to poor children, health training to poor families etc. in Svay Riêng province. See www.mekong-quilts.org
Mekong-Quilts was established in 2001, it has 2 shops in Cambodia: Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. It employs a total of 200 women.
Mekong-Quilts is a project of Mekong Plus, a Belgian NGO (established in 1994) which support and runs community development programs in Svay Riêng province and in Vietnam: agriculture, employment, health, education etc.
